PUGH BLASTS OFF IN THE 12TH TO WALK-OFF SALTDOGS

The Gary SouthShore RailCats ended a 12-inning marathon with a walk-off home run on Tuesday.

The RailCats made it 1-0 in the bottom of the first whenÌýColin Willis stroked an RBI double. Gary SouthShore’s starter,ÌýGabe PerezÌýheld the Lincoln Saltdogs scoreless through eight before turning the ball over to the bullpen.

In the top of the ninth, the Saltdogs took advantage, tying the game with an RBI singleÌýCurt Smith.

The game remained tied untilÌýTillman PughÌýhit a solo home run to end the game in the bottom of the 12th.

Chicago 12, Fargo-Moorhead 7-Ìý

The Chicago Dogs topped the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in a game that finished in 4 hours 26 minutes, just six minutes shy of tying the league’s record for longest nine-inning game.

Kenny Wilson,ÌýTrey Vavra, andÌýStephen PerezÌýall homered for the Dogs. Perez and Dalton Blaser both went 3-for-5 with three RBIs for Chicago.

Devan AhartÌýwent 4-for-5 at the plate for the RedHawks andÌýDerrick FoxÌýdrove in three runners.

Wichita 3, Sioux City 0-Ìý

The Wichita Wingnuts shutdown the Sioux City Explorers in a 3-0 win on Tuesday.

Travis BanwartÌý(6-3) walked one and allowed just three hits while striking out seven during his eight-inning start for the Wingnuts.ÌýLogan WatkinsÌý(3-for-4) andÌýAbel NievesÌý(1-for-4) both drove in runners for Wichita.

Daniel TillmanÌýpitched a scoreless ninth to earn the save.

Sioux Falls 7, St. Paul 5-Ìý

The Sioux Falls Canaries edged the St. Paul Saints 7-5 on Tuesday.

Mitch GlasserÌý(2-for-3) led the Canaries with three RBIs.ÌýChris GraysonÌýalso had a big night, going 2-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI.

Nathaniel MaggioÌýclubbed a three-run home run for the Saints, his fourth of the season.

Kansas City 6, Texas 4-Ìý

The Kansas City T-Bones used six pitchers in a 6-4 win over the Texas AirHogs on Tuesday.

Barrett AstinÌý(2.1 innings),ÌýPasquale MazzoccoliÌý(2.1),ÌýJackson LoweryÌý(1),ÌýKevin HillÌý(1),ÌýMarcus CrescentiniÌý(1), andÌýCody WiniarskiÌý(1) all pitched for the T-Bones.

Colin WalshÌý(2-for-4) andÌýKeith CurcioÌý(2-for-4) both hit solo home runs for Kansas City.ÌýNoah Perio Jr.Ìýwent 3-for-4 with an RBI andÌýAdrian NietoÌýwent 1-for-4 with two RBIs.

The Winnipeg Goldeyes had a strong showing in a 7-1 win over the Cleburne Railroaders on Tuesday.

Goldeyes’ starterÌýMitchell LambsonÌýallowed just one run in 7.1 innings of work to earn the win.

On the offensive side,ÌýMatt McCannÌý(1-for-3),ÌýReggie AbercrombieÌý(2-for-4), andÌýDexter KjerstadÌý(2-for-4) all batted in a runner for Winnipeg.ÌýJosh RomanskiÌýandÌýJosh McAdamsÌýeach drove in a pair.
