August 23 Afternoon Recap
Wichita 11, St. Paul 1 –
It was all Wichita in this one as the Wingnuts jumped out to a 9-0 lead after four innings and rolled to an 11-1 victory over St. Paul. Wichita banged out 14 hits in the contest and was led by CF Nick Van Stratten who went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI. Wingnuts DH Brent Clevlen added three hits and scored three runs while leadoff hitter Christian Stringer had two hits in four at-bats with a run scored and a RBI. Wichita starting pitcher Alex Boshers notched the victory and is now 11-3 on the season. Boshers went seven innings allowing one earned run on six hits and struck out two batters.
