Milwaukee Milkmen infielder Griffin Doersching and Sioux City Explorers right-hander Peniel Ota帽o have been named the Carbliss Batter and Pitcher of the Week for the week ending June 14, 2026.
Doersching delivered one of the most dominant offensive weeks in the American Association this year, batting .455 (10-for-22) with three doubles, six home runs, 15 RBIs and seven runs scored in just five games. He posted a .500 on-base percentage, a remarkable 1.409 slugging percentage and a league-best 1.909 OPS during the week.
The highlight of Doersching’s week came when he drove in a league-record 10 runs in a single game, further cementing his place in the American Association record book. The powerful first baseman struck out only three times while drawing two walks, consistently providing game-changing production in the middle of Milwaukee’s lineup.
On the mound, Ota帽o was equally dominant for Sioux City, winning both of his starts while posting a 1.23 ERA across 14.2 innings. The veteran right-hander allowed just two earned runs on 12 hits, walked four and struck out seven while compiling a 1.09 WHIP.
Ota帽o’s week was highlighted by a complete-game shutout, one of the most impressive pitching performances of the season. Across his two starts, he consistently worked deep into games and helped lead the Explorers to a pair of victories, providing invaluable stability atop Sioux City’s rotation.
