GARY SOUTHSHORE’S PERALTA, LINCOLN’S STASIOWSKI EARN FIRST WEEKLY LEAGUE HONORS OF THE 2026 SEASON

The American Association as named Gary SouthShore RailCats INF Elvis Peralta and Lincoln Saltdogs RHP Tyler Stasiowski as the Cabliss Batter and Pitcher of the Week, for the extended period of May 14-May 24. 

 

Peralta got off to a hot start to the season, batting .412 (14-for-34) with one double, four home runs, 15 RBIs and ten runs scored in nine games. Peralta recorded at least one hit in every game and had five multi-hit games. 

 

In his second season with Gary SouthShore, Peralta hit .314 with 17 doubles, seven triples, three home runs, 44 RBIs, 53 runs scored and 31 stolen bases while appearing in all 100 games in 2025. He was selected to participate in the American Association All-Star Game for the East Division. 

 

Stasiowski made five appearances for the Saltdogs out of the bullpen, and went 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA and two saves. In 6.0 innings pitched, he struck out 13 batters and issued just one walk, and posted a K/9 rate of 19.5 and WHIP of 1.00. 

 

Stasiowski joined the Saltdogs this season after spending two seasons in Class A ball in the Minnesota Twins organization. He joned the Twins after completing his college career at the University of California-Berkeley.
