BISENIUS STRIKES OUT 14 IN SALTDOGS WIN

Lincoln 5, Sioux Falls 0

Lincoln starterÌýJoe BiseniusÌýstruck out a season-high 14 batters and shut out the Canaries for eight innings, allowing just five hits. Bisenius has had 10 strikeoutsÌýin each of his last three starts.

¸é±ð±ô¾±±ð±¹±ð°ùÌýTrey BarnhamÌýentered in the ninth and finished off the shutout.

Lincoln took a 1-0 lead in the third inning on a solo homer from DHÌýChad Mozingo. The Saltdogs scored two more in the fifth and another two in the ninth to win and move into a tie forÌýfirst place with Gary SouthShore in the Central Division.

Lincoln 3BÌýBrandon PinckneyÌýand CÌýTyler SmithÌýeach had two hits in the game and Pinckney scored twice.

Sioux City 8, Gary SouthShore 6

Sioux City scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to wrestle the lead from the RailCats, winning 8-6.

In that frame the Explorers turned a 6-5 deficit into a lead, when Explorers 2BÌýMichael LangÌýdoubled home a run, CÌýDillon UsiakÌýscored on a wild pitch and LFÌýOscar MesaÌýhit an RBI double. Mesa led the X’s with three hits in the game.

Sioux City grabbed an early lead with a four-run third inning, including a two-run single fromÌýRFÌýPeter Barrows, but Gary SouthShore scored two runs in the fifth and four in the sixth to take a short-lived lead.

Left-handerÌýKenny LongÌýgot the win for Sioux City after allowing two runs — zero earned — in 2 1/3 innings of relief. Right-handerÌýAlex BurnettÌýpitched a 1-2-3 ninth to get the save.

Winnipeg 10, St. Paul 6 (12 innings)

The Goldeyes scored five runs in the top of the 12th to finish off the pesky Saints, who tied the game twice before falling in extra innings.

Winnipeg CÌýLuis AlenÌýhit a go-ahead RBI double in the 12th to give the Goldeyes the lead, and a two-out rally added four more runs. 3BÌýJake BlackwoodÌýhit a two-RBI double, SSÌýTyler KuhnÌýsingled home a run and CFÌýReggie AbercrombieÌýsent an RBI double to left field to give the Goldeyes a 10-5 lead. Alen went 4-for-4 with two doubles and a walk against the Saints.

The Saints tied the game in the bottom of the ninth on an RBI single by LFÌýJoe Bonfe, and after a sacrifice fly gave the Goldeyes a lead in the 10th, 1BÌýAngelo SongcoÌýtied the game again by driving in SSÌýJoey Becker. In the 12th, St. Paul got one across before Winnipeg right-handerÌýBarry FowlerÌýretired the final three batters to cement the win.

Amarillo 4, Laredo 2 (10 innings)

Amarillo scored two runs in the top of the 10th to beat Laredo, 4-2. The Sox got the go-ahead run across on a wild pitch, and 2BÌýGeraldo ValentinÌýtacked on another run with an RBI single. Valentin batted 3-for-5 Tuesday night.

Amarillo relieversÌýJake Feckley,ÌýKristhiam LinaresÌýandÌýJeremy GoodingÌýcombined for 4 1/3 innings without allowing a hit after starterÌýClayton TannerÌýallowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings. Linares got the win and Gooding picked up a save after shutting out the Lemurs in the ninth and tenth.

For the Lemurs,ÌýCFÌýNick Van StrattenÌýhad a solo homer in the fifth.

Wichita 4, Grand Prairie 3 (10 innings)

Wichita CÌýChris McMurrayÌýhit a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring 1BÌýVictor DiazÌýto give the WingnutsÌýthe lead in the top of the tenth, and closerÌýDan SattlerÌýkept the AirHogs scoreless in the bottom of the tenth for a 4-3 win.

RFÌýDavid EspinosaÌýtied the game in the seventh on an RBI triple. Espinosa batted 2-for-4 with a walk. SSÌýAbel NievesÌýand DHÌýCarlo TestaÌýled the Wingnuts with three hits. ¸é±ð±ô¾±±ð±¹±ð°ùÌýMichael ZouzalikÌýgot the win after pitching a scoreless ninth.

Kansas City 3, Fargo-Moorhead 2

T-Bones SSÌýVladamir FriasÌýbatted 3-for-4 with a fifth-inning RBI double, and Kansas City beat the RedHawks, 3-2.

Frias’s double scored the first run of the game, and he later scored on an RBI single from 2BÌýDanny Richar. In the sixth, the T-Bones added an insurance run when CFÌýRobby KuzdaleÌýdrove in a run with a single to left field, and they needed it after the Fargo-Moorhead bats woke up.

RedHawks 1BÌýMichael JohnsonÌýplated the team’s first run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth, and CÌýTravis HiggsÌýled off the seventh with a home run to cut Kansas City’s lead to 3-2.

Kansas CityÌýcloserÌýKris RegasÌýwalked two with one out in the ninth, but retired the final two batters to seal his 20th save. Right-handerÌýJoe VanMeterÌýstarted for the T-Bones, pitching seven innings of two-run ball. He struck out six in the win.
